EPS is published on behalf of the following five societies, "The Society of Geomagnetism and Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences", "The Seismological Society of Japan", "The Volcanological Society of Japan", "The Geodetic Society of Japan", and "The Japanese Society for Planetary Sciences" as continuations of Journal of Geomagnetism and Geoelectricity (1949-1997) and Journal of Physics of the Earth (1952-1997) [ J-STAGE operated by JST].

EPS is published in partnership with Japan Geoscience Union (JpGU).

The journal is partly supported by Grant-in-Aid for Publication of Scientific Research Results (251001) from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science.
